Melisa Moon

Melisa Moon family“When You Wish Upon a Star”

As a young girl, my great grandparents lived in Anaheim, CA not too far from Disneyland.  When they would come to visit, they would often tell us about Disneyland and how every night they would sit on their porch and watch the fireworks.  I was always curious of what Disneyland was like and loved the mystery about it.

My first visit to “Disney” was so Magical!!!  My husband decided that since I had never been to Disney, that he wanted to be the first to take me there!!  So my first trip to Walt Disney World was on our Honeymoon almost 14 years ago.    We stayed at Disney’s Polynesian Resort near the Magic Kingdom and he sure did pull out all the stops along the way!!!  Boy did I feel like a Princess!!  We were recognized as “Honeymooners” all over “The World” and had the most memorable and amazing time!!!  My most favorite moment was the first time that I saw Tinkerbell fly from Cinderella Castle with “When You Wish Upon a Star” .  From that day forward, when I would hear that song, even on a commercial, it would bring back those special memories of my first time at Walt Disney World and would not leave a dry eye in the room.

Now, I am a Disney Travel Planner and boy you couldn’t ask for more of a “Dream” job.

I have been fortunate to experience WDW and Disney Cruise from both an adult’s and a parent’s perspective.   My first cruise was a training cruise upon the Disney Wonder and all I can say is once you cruise with Disney, one will never want to cruise with any other!!! There is so much to see and do and you receive the same impeccable Disney service aboard the ship as you would on land.

Disney Dream Preview CruiseOur most recent trip was on the Disney Dream Preview Cruise before its inaugural sailing this past January, and we got to experience the “Disney Dream” through the eye of our two beautiful girls.  It is so fulfilling to be able to experience this with them and my husband.

We are very blessed and would not trade this job for the world!!!

Dreams really do come true.
